Welcoming American Guests

There is a real buzz of excitement around the workshop as we prepare to host some American guests later in the month for a workshop demonstration.

Our guests will enjoy watching us carve our famous beaver as well as demonstrating the highly skilled technique of adzing.

Adzing produces a beautiful textured finish to the wood and is an age old  skill which takes a great deal of patience and practice to perfect the technique, one which David makes look so easy to do !. . This gorgeous dining table shows an example of perfect adzing and as you can see from the picture, has produced a stunning ripple like effect It may seem hard to believe but a glass of wine sits without any wobble on a table top adzed by David.

We can’t wait to show this to our American friends when we invite them into our workshop!
